A truck safety manager is responsible for ensuring that a trucking company operates safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations in the USA. The primary job duties of a truck safety manager may include the following:
Reviewing logbooks: Logbook specialists review driver logbooks to ensure they are accurate and comply with all applicable regulations, including those issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Monitoring compliance: Logbook specialists monitor compliance with regulations related to hours of service, driver rest periods, and other safety-related requirements.
Providing training: Logbook specialists train drivers to complete logbooks and comply with all applicable regulations correctly.
Resolving issues: If errors or discrepancies are found in logbooks, truck logbook specialists work with drivers to resolve the problems and ensure compliance.
Maintaining records: Logbook specialists keep detailed records of logbook reviews, compliance issues, and training programs.
Staying up-to-date: Truck logbook specialists stay up-to-date with all applicable regulations and best practices related to driver logbooks and safety.
Requirements:
Knowledge of the English language at an advanced level
